From a gender equity perspective the Data and AI industry is at a breaking point.
Although there is a huge emphasis on female talent recruitment, women who enter the sector will face systemic promotion barriers, a gender pay gap higher than the national average, and a career cliff where 50% leave by mid-career. Only 17% of senior leaders are women, meaning the data and technologies shaping society are being built without the diversity they urgently require.
